Hi, I’m Hannah Rutherford, Florida International University graduate with a Master of Architecture and Owner + Artist behind Studio HR.
I grew up in a small town in Florida, always creating and making art. As a kid, I dreamed I would one day create masterpieces and travel the world creating from what I saw. However, as I grew up, I pulled away from the kind of art that I love most. I went to college and earned my Master of Architecture from Florida International University, where I honed my design and digital skills using software like Rhino, Revit, Lumion, Enscape, QGIS, and Adobe Suite. I cultivated collaboration skills and the ability to implement feedback effectively, and my strong academic track record and freelance experience have further enhanced my capabilities.
After completing my education, life took an unexpected turn, and I needed to go home to support my family through health challenges. Back in a small town with poor internet, it was just me, my family, and my dog. This period gave me the space and time I needed to think and reconsider my future with a new perspective. I fell back into art, rediscovering the passion my childhood self always had. It reminded me that things can change on a dime and that I should pursue what I love while I have the opportunity, leading me to open my own art business to do on the side while I helped my family.
Now, I am eagerly resuming my professional journey, confident that my experiences have enriched my perspective and resilience. I am dedicated to contributing meaningfully to a team and furthering my knowledge in the field. Though the circumstances aren't what I imagined, it’s exciting to think that younger Hannah is cheering on the hard steps to make my art into something successful while pursuing a career in architecture.
